The International Coastal Cleanup was held along the Foreshore on Audrey Jeffers Highway, Port of Spain. Coordinated by the EPPD, in partnership with the Institute of Marine Affairs (IMA) and the Environmental Management Authority (EMA). This marked the 40th anniversary of this initiative. With the support of 232 volunteers, an estimated 3,705.35 pounds of waste were removed, including 985.91 pounds of plastics and the remainder made up of glass and miscellaneous materials.
